ABOUT

Hi, I'm Umutcan.
UX and Product Designer who leads AI.

AI can generate designs in seconds, but it still needs someone to point it
at the right problem and judge what it makes. That is my role. I find the
real problem, guide AI to research, test and design faster, and back every
decision with evidence that product, engineering and business teams can
act on.

MY JOURNEY

Two countries, one path into UX.

My path from 2014 to today. I started with Photoshop in 2014, found UX/UI at Yeditepe University while studying Visual Communication Design (2015 to 2019), then completed a Master of Media and Communication at Swinburne University of Technology (2021 to 2023). In 2026 I'm back in Türkiye as a UX and Product Designer working with AI. The band below shows Türkiye, where it started, about seven years living, studying and working in Australia, and today, open to relocate.

MAIN TOOLS

The tools I use most.

AI is part of how I work. It helps me research, draft and check faster, and I make the design decisions. The AI tools I use are Claude, Figma Make, OpenAI, Midjourney, Google Gemini and Lovable.

My main tools in four steps. For research I use Zoom, Otter.ai, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, with AI summarising interviews and reviews. To design and prototype I use Figma, FigJam, Framer, Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud, with AI for quick prototypes and first drafts. To test I use Maze, Lyssna, WAVE and VoiceOver, with AI sorting feedback into themes. To organise and share I use Notion, Trello and Jira, with AI for notes, specs and documentation.

My main tools. I learn and use new ones whenever a project needs them.
